Lina Rappoport, MA, LMFT

About

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (license #78021) and Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists (license #2881-R). I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University.

I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a career in teaching. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and worked for over ten years as a teacher with children ages 2.5 to 14.

Many of my students had traumatic experiences, including parental abandonment, separation, divorce; living with a single parent or an alcoholic/abusive parent; the death of a parent or family member; adoption and step-parenting; bullying; low socioeconomic status and poverty; and natural disasters, just to name a few.

Some of my clients feel that my past experience enhances my skills as a counselor.
